The guided bus or walking tour starts at Krst (The Cross) in the city centre, but it can begin in some other location agreed upon beforehand. The tourists pass by the most significant edifices, institutions, monuments. One option is to visit the Old Church, the place where the first Constitution of modern Serbia was passed, Prince’s Arsenal, the predecessor of Arms Factory and the Old Foundry Museum located in the authentic 19th century building with around 5,500 exhibits. Depending on time available, the tour can cover the rest of the “Milošev venac“ location and visits to The National Museum and Memorial clasroom in the First Kragujevac Gymnasium.
The second option is a guided panoramic sightseeing of the forementioned locations before taking a walk down the Main Street to Šumarice Memorial Park. It includes a visit to the 21st October Museum, and 7 km long panoramic sightseeing of the memorial park which covers 352 ha, with leaving the bus at the Monument to the executed pupils and teachers. The rest of the park is to be seen from the bus, before the return to the agreed upon place.
The guided tour lasts for 2-4 hours, but it can be shorter, depending on the number of museums visited as well as the part of the town that is to be seen by bus or by foot. The shortest option is up to 2 hours long and it offers a visit to one museum, panoramic sightseeing and leaving the bus at the Monument to the executed pupils.
